Ms. Mignea joined the Law Office of Gould & Hahn in 2014 as an associate attorney. Among her many duties, Ms. Mignea provides clients with regulatory compliance advice and defends licensees against Accusations and other disciplinary actions. With her background in working with the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, Ms. Mignea uses her experience to represent and advise employers facing audits from the Department of Labor and wage claims from current and former employees. Ms. Mignea also defends healthcare licensees, licensed clinical social workers, real estate brokers, contractors, and residential home and daycare operators in all aspects of disciplinary proceedings brought against their licenses.
Prior to joining the Law Office of Gould & Hahn, Ms. Mignea worked at a civil litigation firm in San Jose where she expanded her experience in a wide variety of cases, including employment, consumer, personal injury, medical malpractice, and landlord- tenant law.
After completing her undergraduate degree in History at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, California, Ms. Mignea obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2011. During her time at Santa Clara University School of Law, Ms. Mignea received recognition for her commitment to pro bono legal representation as a Certified Law Student at the Katherine and George Alexander Community Law Center where, for three years, she represented claimants at the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, employees at the Employment Development Department and employees in Equal Employment Opportunity Commission mediations. In 2012 Ms. Mignea was awarded a fellowship by the Katherine and George Alexander Community Law Center. Ms. Mignea is a member of the State Bar of California.
Ms. Mignea is an avid reader and enjoys walking with her Jack Russell Terrier, Janeway, on our Bay Area beaches.
